Niamh McQuillan

Graduate Studies Manager

Niamh is the Graduate Studies Manager in the Department of Paediatrics, where she leads strategic and operational initiatives across postgraduate taught and research programmes. Since joining the department in 2024, she has led the development of revised postgraduate courses, successfully overseen the transition of the Paediatric Infectious Diseases programme into the department, and implemented enhanced student support and governance processes.

Her work focuses on improving the student experience through effective programme management, process development, community engagement, and cross-departmental collaboration. Niamh has also revitalised the department’s Celebration of Student Research Day, helping to strengthen student engagement, visibility, and community within the department. She contributes to key departmental committees and leads initiatives relating to student visitor routes, wellbeing, and feedback-driven improvements.

Alongside her operational leadership, Niamh is committed to fostering inclusive and supportive academic environments. She serves as a departmental Wellbeing Champion and recently completed the Oxford Women’s Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School in May 2026.
