Oliver Sampson

Post-Graduate Laboratory Research Assistant

Oliver is a Wellcome Trust DPhil student in the Infection, Immunology and Translational Medicine programme. He has a BSc in Medical Microbiology from the University of Leicester and has previously worked on tuberculosis with Galina Mukamolova. After joining Oxford in 2018 Oliver undertook rotations with Quentin Sattentau and Helen McShane before settling in the Goulder group. His research leads the groups investigations into the role of placental macrophages in in-utero transmission of HIV-1 and he collaborates with William James and Manu Vatish.
