Giving to the Department of Paediatrics
The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in fighting against the world’s most pressing child health challenges. It hosts a number of internationally renowned research programmes which include vaccinology, HIV and rare diseases. We are committed to research that improves our understanding of child health with the aim to improve life chances and quality of life for all children.
Why Donate?
Donations, however big or small, will contribute towards the department’s ongoing research. All of our research groups are funded through grants and donations, and without them, this important work could not continue. Our supporters have a direct impact on the department’s successes, and the subsequent improved wellbeing of millions of children world-wide.
The department’s work includes the Oxford Vaccine Group’s ongoing rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in rolling out a global clinical trial at unprecedented speed to ensure that the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is safe and effective to use across the world. The university’s COVID-19 response would not have been possible without philanthropic support.
