Arne Gehlhaar

Laboratory Research Assistant

I am a laboratory research assistant in the Oxford Vaccine Group based at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine. Prior to joining the OVG, I completed a M.Sc. in Immunobiology and a B.Sc. in Biomedicine from the University of Bonn, Germany. I spend a year working as a postgraduate researcher at the Department of Paediatrics at Yale University, where my work mostly focused on charting early life immune development, deciphering peripheral immunity in rare diseases and developing novel CyTOF protocols and animal models.

While I am enthusiastic about all things translational immunology, I am particularly interested in the interplay of the human immune system and microbial pathogens, which led me to join the OVG.
