Juyeon is a laboratory research assistant in OVG, currently working as a member of our enteric team and global team. She is performing diverse molecular and immunological assays, contributing the studies and projects related to Enteric fever(Salmonella Typhi and Paratyphi A), Streptococcus pneumoniae and their vaccines.

She is also providing essential support for sample processing in both CL2 and CL3, shipping samples to testing facilities and running immunological assays to determine the immunogenicity and efficacy that will inform subsequent UK vaccine schedules.

Prior to joining OVG, she completed MSc in Immunology at King’s College London. During her master’s degree, she investigated the effect of dinucleotide modification in Influenza A Virus (IAV) replication, where she could train in various research techniques including CRISPR-Cas9 and IAV experiments.
