Research Nurse

Jo completed her BSc (Nursing; Child) in 2009, and for the last 5 years has worked on the paediatric wards at the Children’s Hospital in Oxford and the Horton Hospital in Banbury. This practical experience encouraged her to change roles to a more active involvement in health promotion, and she joined OVG in December 2104 as a Research Nurse.  Prior to completing her degree Jo spent 15 years working with children and families in a variety of settings including alongside midwives in the Women’s Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital and, in the education sector she was instrumental in facilitating and managing early years provision in her community. She has also worked as a teaching assistant in her local primary school. Her family are grown up and she enjoys her garden and running in charity events.
